‘Whole Bank Account…’ Man Reveals Rs. 56,000 Birthday Party Bill; Internet Discusses Spending Habits, Dining Costs

We often spend a lot, but a recent viral birthday party bill has been given a quick reality check. Many netizens are now discussing the spending habits of when we dine out, the rising dining costs and changing lifestyle.
Based on viral posts and social media conversations, one man had planned to spend between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 on a birthday party with 16 of his friends. The reported final sum, however, was a tremendous surprise for him.
According to the post, the customer’s entire bank account was depleted. The restaurant manager asked how many people were attending the dinner prior to the start of the celebration, the post said. After learning that there were 16 visitors, the manager is reported to have estimated the cost to be between Rs. 30,000 and 35,000.

But everyone was taken aback when the restaurant charged Rs. 56,000 for the party. They even asked for a discount on the cost, but their request was denied. Many are discussing the rising cost and dining habits. As many are suggesting that it’s better to party at home with home cooked meals. Some are saying overspending habits are killing everyone’s savings habits. Some argue that the results might be overcharging now.
