Viral: Man Buys Rs. 1 Lakh Gift For His Mother, She Refuses Until He Reveals His Rs. 5 Lakh Salary

We strive to buy something unique for our parents as we begin to make money and the first gift to our parents is always special, regardless of the cost, since it shows our love and respect for them. A man recently wrote a post which is now viral on social media, in which he admits that he purchased a costly gift for his mother, but she declined it because of the exorbitant cost and then he said that he makes a lot more money than the price of the gift.

A heartwarming story about a Delhi based trader whose mother wouldn’t take a costly gift until she understood how much her son makes in a month. On X, Sahil Raj Kumar, who identifies as the Managing Director of VedicCraft on his LinkedIn profile, told the story.

“My mom doesn’t exactly know how much I make. She is well off but never splurges on luxuries for herself,” Sahil wrote on his X account. “Today she went to buy some glasses and she VC’d me to show some of the pairs,” he elaborated further.

Sahil, a trader based in Delhi, claims that his mother called him to show him a pair of eyeglasses she liked. But she decided against buying them since she learned that they cost more than 100,000 rupees, or 1,200 USD or more.

Then, he intervened and offered to purchase them for her as a gift. “I instructed her to purchase them and I will cover the cost,” Sahil said. He spent a lot of time convincing his mother how much he earned and how the gift was affordable for him.

“Spent the next thirty minutes persuading her that I was telling the truth.” Sahil stated, ”I make way more.” In the end, his mother bought him the glasses as a gift. ”A very healthy day,” he said while concluding the caption.
