A woman shared a post on social media claiming that she faced a severe allergy after eating a meal on the Vande Bharat train. She shared her photo with a swollen face as the food reaction and also wrote the complaint in the caption. The IRCTC has given a response to their official X account. Now, the viral post is sparking debate online about food safety and hygiene.

After eating food on the Vande Bharat Express train, Ayushi Singh, a woman from Ranchi, reported having severe health problems. Following the train trip, she posted on X that she had a terrible allergy and her two year old son had diarrhea.

Singh stated in her post that she took a train on March 27 aboard coach E1 of the Vande Bharat Express train number 22500. The allergy, which she characterized as potentially life threatening, prompted her to implore the authorities to ‘look into the matter urgently.’ She posted two images of herself and her medical prescription from a hospital in Ranchi to support her assertions.

In response, IRCTC has replied to her post stating, “Lunch on Train No. 22500 BSB-DGHR Vande Bharat Express (Coach E1) on 27.03.2026 was checked & found satisfactory. No other complaints were received regarding the quality, hygiene or safety of food on the day.”
