“Why are you Driving Uber?” Founder Stunned as Rider Arrives on a BMW Bike in Mumbai

After his driver arrived on a luxury BMW motorcycle, an entrepreneur’s trip that was meant to be a routine Uber ride transformed into a motivational experience. You all must be thinking how come on BMW bike? The founder gets surprised by the same question and asks the biker about it and then he learns something extraordinary. The founder started a conversation with the young rider because he was interested in learning why someone with such a costly bike would be employed as an Uber driver. He learned a lesson about ambition and pursuing experiences from the ride.

On LinkedIn, Ashiish Jain, the founder of the Hyderabad based business Medgini, posted about his encounter with the rider. He mentioned that one night in Mumbai, he was having trouble getting a ride from his office until 8:25 pm, when it was ultimately confirmed. However, he was shocked when his Uber driver came and he saw a BMW motorcycle arrive.

The rider disclosed that he had worked for various businesses and was an engineering graduate. Others gave him useful lessons, while some made money. He was now considering a master’s degree while continuing to look for new possibilities.

“I also asked him about the BMW,” Jain wrote. “With a smile, he said he bought it through the money he earned from his business ventures, with little support from his parents. There was no show off, just quiet pride in what he had built. After dropping me, he came back and said, I love working with people, and I enjoy managing events. That one sentence stayed with me.”

“There is no harm in dreaming big, as long as you have the courage and the zeal to chase your dreams. Sometimes, inspiration doesn’t come from a CEO, an entrepreneur, or a bestselling author. Sometimes, it comes from an unexpected conversation with a stranger who reminds you that the journey is just as important as the destination,” he wrote further.
