University of Colorado Denver, in the USA, has got the UGC nod to set up campus in Hyderabad, according to reports. The UGC has sent the university a letter of intent to open a new campus in Hyderabad, making it the first public American university authorized to set up a degree granting location in India, reports PTI.
Chicago’s Illinois Institute of Technology became the first American institution to establish a campus in India. A private institution from Illinois, USA, has established its campus in Mumbai. Furthermore, the first international university campus in Telangana will be the CU Denver India campus.
According to the reports, it is anticipated that the Hyderabad campus will provide undergraduate and graduate degrees in subjects such as business, analytics, engineering and computing.
CU Denver stated that it will keep working through the necessary regulatory procedures and contacting other stakeholders, industry representatives and academic institutions as it builds the Hyderabad campus.
