Delhi and NCR region have been impacted by the heavy rains. Many areas are now facing waterlogging, traffic congestion which brought life to a standstill. According to reports, IMD issued a red alert as heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Friday, resulting in widespread waterlogging and traffic delays throughout numerous regions.

Many commuters complained that they couldn’t get a cab for hours as the rain continued throughout the day, leaving them stranded in their workplaces, as the reports highlighted. Important thoroughfares in Delhi reported traffic bottlenecks, trapping anyone who had managed to leave for their residences.

The IMD has issued a red alert predicting moderate to heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning. Sustained rain might result in new waterlogging, local flooding and traffic delays in susceptible regions.

Delhi had around 25.6 degrees Celsius on Friday morning as a result of the rains, which caused a noticeable drop in temperature. The rain brought relief from the humidity and heat, but it also made it difficult for commuters because of congested roads and slow traffic.
