The new express train between Mumbai and Bengaluru, which enhances rail links between the two states, Maharashtra and Karnataka, was officially launched on Sunday by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw via video conference. According to Vaishnaw, the long pending demands of the people in South & North Karnataka are now fulfilled. Additionally, he stated that the Vande Bharat Sleeper service between Mumbai and Bengaluru is anticipated to begin soon.
The rail network that links Mumbai, Bengaluru and other significant cities is anticipated to grow to 7,000 km in the future, Vaishnaw added. Vaishnaw stated that work is moving forward on all four lines of the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project.
According to the Railway Ministry, the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is redeveloping 61 railway stations in Karnataka for more than two thousand crore rupees and nine stations have already finished their renovation.

In addition, it stated that the state has built more than 1,700 kilometers of new rail lines since 2014. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw also emphasized that bullet train routes linking Bengaluru to Hyderabad and Chennai have been approved, according to the reports.
