New Delhi: Addressing the programme virtually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 61,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across various government departments at the 18th Rozgar Mela in New Delhi.
Addressing the appointees, PM Modi said India is one of the youngest countries in the world and stressed that the government is consistently working to generate new job opportunities for young people, both domestically and abroad. He noted that the Rozgar Mela has gradually developed into a structured and regular platform for government recruitment.
“Over the past few years, Rozgar Mela has become an institution. Through this platform, lakhs of young people have already received appointment letters in different government departments,” the Prime Minister said.
Emphasising India’s growing global outreach, PM Modi said the Union government is entering into trade and mobility agreements with multiple countries to create new opportunities for Indian youth. “These agreements are creating multiple opportunities for our young workforce,” he added.
The Prime Minister also highlighted ongoing reforms focused on simplifying governance and strengthening economic activity. “The country has set off on a reform express. Its objective is to make life easier and business easier,” he said.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh, along with senior officials from the Indian Police Service (IPS), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the defence services, were present at the event.
