It’s been almost two months, and the air quality has gotten better, allowing residents to breathe fresh air and see clear skies in Mumbai. The major cities in India, like Mumbai and Delhi, were under the massive cloud of pollution and dust in the air.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 57 at midday on Saturday, which is considered to be satisfactory. On Saturday, February 28, Mumbai and its suburbs are expected to have clear skies. The air quality has dramatically improved after a month of mild to bad air quality and constant smog. From 26th February, the quality has improved.
There was an impact of western disturbance in many regions of India. Mumbai temperatures are predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to range from 22 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.
Deonar (82) and Kurla (97) were close to the moderate range, while districts like Colaba (57), Bandra Kurla Complex (66), Mazgaon (59), Ghatkopar (66) remained in the satisfactory range. According to CPCB data, Mumbai’s air quality was generally in the healthier range.
