Mumbai: Flights Impacted Due To Heavy Rains, Airlines Issues Travel Advisory

Since the last week, Mumbai has been impacted due to heavy rainfall and life has also come to a standstill. Now, many flights have also been affected and airlines are issuing travel advisories.

Also, Akasa Airlines, in an update on its X profile, stated that some flights throughout our network may be delayed as a result of the heavy rains in Mumbai, Pune and Goa.

However, according to an airport official, ANI stated that 17 flights were cancelled and 217 flights were delayed until 1130 hours today at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport due to heavy rains.

The Indian Meteorological Department issued a red alert for rain in Mumbai and Pune, anticipating significant rainfall for both cities. A public safety warning urging people to stay inside unless absolutely necessary has also been issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
