Maharashtra’s chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had a meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Microsoft is going to make a big investment in Maharashtra, as the CM announced.

After meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the media and gave information about the exact discussions that took place with them. Microsoft is planning to invest in Maharashtra.

The cutting-edge AI system MahaCrimeOS AI, which the Maharashtra government created in partnership with Microsoft, is intended to help people against cybercrime and financial fraud.

Our guiding principle is ‘Ethical and responsible AI for the public good’, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. AI can bring about change by boosting efficiency, raising the standard of living and making life simpler for all citizens. Although we initially partnered with Microsoft to address difficult cybercrime issues, there is much more promise. We plan to utilize this strength responsibly to establish a more effective and citizen-centered state.

MahaCrimeOS AI, created by CyberEye in collaboration with the Maharashtra Government’s Special Purpose Vehicle MARVEL and Microsoft India Development Center (IDC), employs Microsoft Azure and OpenAI technologies to help police officers identify and address cybercrime more quickly. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the platform is presently operational in 23 police stations throughout Nagpur and is expected to be extended to all 1,100 police stations in the state, ANI reports.

In India, Microsoft is making an investment of USD 17.5 billion. The biggest investment made by an American tech firm to date, according to reports.

The GCC Global Capability Centers are scheduled to open shortly. In Maharashtra, a 2 million square foot GCC will be established, according to Devendra Fadnavis. “Thrilled to share that Brookfield is building a 2 million sqft Global Capacity Centre (GCC) facility in Powai, which is Asia’s largest GCC, with a 1 billion USD investment in Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said when discussing the project.

Over 45,000 jobs will be created as a result of this 1 billion USD investment. In Mumbai today, it was wonderful to meet Ankur Gupta (Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asia Pacific and Middle East-Real Estate, Brookfield).

“This is a significant step forward in the state government’s goal of transforming Maharashtra into the GCC capital of India,” the CM continued.
