Pune has recorded the season’s coldest morning in November. According to the IMD, the city logged a 10.6 degree temperature on Sunday, November 16. The cold weather will continue for the next two days. The India Meteorological Department has also issued a cold wave alert for several areas.
At least two locations in the district recorded a single-digit temperature. Malin recorded 9.9 degrees Celsius, while Haveli recorded 8.6 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature recorded by the IMD in Pashan was 10.1 degrees Celsius. Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Nanded, Marathwada along with Pune are on cold wave alert.
The Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai has issued a color-coded weather warning that the cold wave will continue in the Marathwada and North Maharashtra regions, and that a yellow alert for the same has been issued for 11 districts in the state for the next 24 hours. The IMD predicts that the city will likely experience a steady increase in minimum temperatures following November 18, with nighttime temperatures between 13 and 14 degrees Celsius and daytime highs around 30 degrees Celsius.
Many cities are again facing low air quality. Mumbai and Pune are also one of them. Delhi’s AQI is not improved yet.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that Mumbai will have clear skies all day and that maximum temperatures will probably reach around 31 degrees Celsius. The city’s nighttime and early morning temperatures might approach 16°C, providing a hint of winter coziness that is not often experienced in November.

But during the early hours of the day, visibility levels were still relatively poor as a layer of haze covered many sections of the city, obscuring what may have been a beautiful, sunny morning.
