Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has confirmed that the new website of IRCTC will be launched by next month. Ashwini Vaishnaw has committed to launching a better and new Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website by July 15.

Vaishnaw announced this while speaking with students at Jaipur’s Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT). On social media, a video of the interaction in which Vaishnaw contacted a railway official to inquire about the new website has gotten a lot of attention.

The video starts with a student expressing dissatisfaction with the Captcha issue on the official railway website, which is used daily by millions of people to make train reservations across the nation. “Sir, please solve the problem of the IRCTC captcha,” a student can be heard requesting. The instruction was issued by Vaishnaw after calling a member of the department.

Vaishnaw asked the railway officer whether the new website could be deployed in 30 days, stating, “All the students have demanded that there should be a new IRCTC website.” Cheers and thanks from the students followed Vaishnaw’s announcement that a new IRCTC website would be available by July 15.

IRCTC said at the start of this month that it had considerably improved its monitoring system in order to uphold the quality and cleanliness of the food offered on trains and at railway stations.
