India’s first ever bullet train is coming soon. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given an important update on the bullet train. According to him, the high speed train testing will begin next year by May-June.

According to Vaishnaw, who spoke at the ‘NaMo for Viksit Bharat’ conference in Vadodara, the bullet train’s initial body frame has been finished recently and sent for a squeeze test. He emphasized the expected travel time between Vadodara and Mumbai and stated that the bullet train project was being created in accordance with the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

“By May or June of next year, India’s own bullet train will be on the tracks for testing. After a testing period of 2 to 4 months, the bullet train will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister himself,” the Union Minister said.

Vaishnaw also stated that construction on the bullet train project was moving quickly and that the Surat-Vapi section would be completed by December of this year. The Union Minister mentioned other changes taking place in the Indian Railways and stated that the government is modernizing its operational and booking systems as well as its construction practices.
