IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Mumbai, Thane and other Districts

A moderate downpour has been falling in Thane, Mumbai and other areas of Maharashtra for the last few days. According to the weather service, there will be a lot of rain in Konkan, the Ghat regions and parts of East Vidarbha today.

Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for a few districts. In addition to this, there is a chance of thunder, lightning, and light to moderate rain in a few areas.

Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are among the places mentioned in the Konkan region. Showers are also expected in the ghat regions of Nashik, Pune, Satara and Kolhapur. Gadchiroli and Gondia districts in East Vidarbha have received a yellow warning from the weather agency, indicating a possibility of torrential rain.

Here, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are also possible in certain areas. Today, the weather service has issued a rain advisory for many areas of the state. Pune, the Pune Ghats, Nashik Ghats, Kolhapur Ghats, Gadchiroli and Gondia are among them. Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are also among them.
