Common people keep their eyes sharp on gold and silver prices. After sharp fall since October first week, gold price continued to drop today as well. Tuesday, it dropped to 12,082 rupees per gram for 24 carat gold as per the goodreturns.in data. In Mumbai, the gold price was 1,23,280 rupees per 10 grams for 24 carat gold on Monday. Next day, it shrinks to 1,20,820 rupees per 10 grams for the same. Even sliver prices also fall down. Sliver price has shrunk from 1,55,000 rupees per kilogram to 1,51,000 rupees per kilogram today.
Analysts believe that, many macroeconomic indicators have influenced the gold price movement in the international/national market. They also believe that the gold price fall as optimism over easing trade tensions like US-China trade and also the safe-heaven demand. Not only in cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Pune or Nagpur the price have dropped but major cities like Kolkata, Delhi also witnessed fall in gold prices.
IBJA do not include 3% GST and making charges over gold prices. Therefore, according to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the gold price has fallen to 1,19,164 Rupees per 10 grams. Previously, the price was 1,21,077 rupees per 10 grams. Silver price also fell to 1,43,400 rupees per kilogram from 1,45,031 rupees per kilogram.
Gold prices on Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) opened lower on Tuesday. Sliver prices also dropped on MCX.
