Pranav Mailarpawar stated in an X post that he got up early in the morning to buy train tickets because reservations started at 8 AM for Diwali, which is on November 8, precisely two months later. However, he claimed that instead of finishing the reservation without problems, he ran into several technical issues that made the experience more irritating and frustrating.

“Woke up at 7:50 AM to book Diwali train tickets because reservations open at 8 AM, only to discover that IRCTC has apparently been engineered to prevent people from booking tickets rather than actually booking them. Whoever architected this disaster, whoever approved it and the entire team responsible for maintaining this glorified error generator should seriously reconsider their career choices,” he mentioned.

“The website keeps throwing people out, sessions fail for no reason and booking one ticket feels like trying to hack into a government server. How does a country that calls itself a service-based economy still operate a platform this embarrassingly broken? I genuinely have no idea what the ministry is doing, but IRCTC doesn’t need another patch. It needs to be deleted, buried and rebuilt from scratch by people who have actually used a website before,” he explains.
