The second trial of ISRO’s Gaganyaan mission has been completed successfully. The Gaganyaan mission’s second Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-02) is being conducted to confirm the viability of essential parachute systems that protect astronauts, as per the reports.

In this article we are going to learn about the second Integrated Air Drop Test, including its main components and India’s Gagnyan Mission. The Satish Dhawan Space Centre, which is Isro’s main launch site, hosted the test.

The objectives of IADT-02 were met, according to authorities, boosting faith in the vital crew safety systems created for India’s first manned trip to low Earth orbit.

The Integrated Air Drop Tests are intended to replicate realistic emergency escape and rescue situations. To assess the performance of parachute deployment systems, descent control and splashdown recovery operations, a test version of the crew module is released from an airplane at a high altitude throughout the exercise.

The Gaganyaan Mission, headed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is India’s first crewed space program. Its main objective is to show indigenous capability by launching a three person crew into a 400 km Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for a three day trip and bringing them back to Earth safely through a splashdown in Indian seas.
