You buy a Rs. 500 Starbucks drink and you find a dead fly in it? It’s quite shocking, right? Food safety is now becoming an important topic as customers are sharing their experiences when they find out something like this. Currently, a video is going viral where a woman shares the same awful experience.

She ordered a strawberry drink from Starbucks and found a dead fly inside her cup. She shared a video explaining the same and showed the dead fly lying over the strawberry slices. Content creator Shikha shared the occurrence on Instagram, where she showed the takeaway cup and focused the camera on the beverage’s fruit. The insect was seen attached to the strawberry when she zoomed in for a closer look.

“You pay Rs 500 and you get this? Where is the hygiene?” She wrote in the video caption and raised concerns about hygiene. The video sparked debates about how cafes and restaurants manage and keep ingredients and fruits.

Starbucks India replied in the comments of Shikha’s post. She was asked to provide her phone number so that the customer service team could reach out to her as the company apologized for her ordeal. “Hi thatsheengirl – We are sorry to hear about that. Please inbox us with your contact number. Our Customer Care Team would connect with you,” Starbucks India said in a comment.
