A college student in Bengaluru says he works as a Rapido driver and also revealed his income and shared what he learned from the job. Currently, his post is getting viral on social media and many are reacting to it.
According to the post, after revealing his three month experience as a Rapido rider, a second year college student who is a BBA student, reveals that he started the gig work during his college holiday in order to get a deeper understanding of how the gig economy and the algorithm operate. The student stated that although he didn’t initially understand how the site worked, he soon discovered where the greatest demand came from, which ultimately helped him make more money.
According to the student, he normally started work at 8 am and finished at 4.30 pm, making about Rs. 1,200 on a good day, not counting fuel costs or other costs. The student claimed that he also delivered food orders to augment his income when rides were scared in the afternoon.

According to the student, he frequently visited railway stations, Majestic and other crowded spots for three months. Although the auto drivers would glare at him, none of them confronted him. To prove the numbers, the student showed screenshots of his income dashboard. He made Rs. 5,650 in May and finished 96 orders. He finished the term in July with 233 orders completed and Rs. 14,222 in profits after his revenue surged significantly in June, reaching Rs. 16,660.
