Surendra Singh Choudhary, commonly known as ‘Bittu Tabahi’, became well known around the world for his efforts to clean rivers. However, he recently posted a heartbreaking update that soon went viral, igniting a discussion about public responsibility and civic sense.
He used an Instagram video to show the state of Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district’s Ajnar River. Just a few weeks ago, the river banks were immaculate. Plastic bags and garbage are again chocking them today. Previously, he cleaned the Ajnar River by single handedly removing metric tons of garbage from the water over eight long months, using no sophisticated equipment.
He was upset by the river’s condition, but rather than leaving, he chose to clean it once more. He returned to the river, bag after bag, to remove the waste, despite not being a particularly skilled swimmer. Bittu captioned the video that was uploaded on Tuesday.
He asked the online users to contribute their ideas about how he could more effectively eliminate this river’s trash. Users on social media quickly filled the comments area with their thoughts after the video became popular.
