Bihar Elections 2025: RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav Bagged CM Candidate Post at Gunpoint, Says PM Modi at Bihar Rally
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (RJD-Congress-Left) and said that the Congress was “never willing” to project RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as the chief ministerial candidate but gave in to the demand when the RJD put a “katta,” a country-made gun, on its head.
While addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Arrah district, PM Modi predicted a record victory for the ruling NDA, which would continue providing a government that was “upright” and “foresighted” and build a “developed Bihar” that was necessary for “Viksit Bharat.”
Hitting out at the Opposition, PM Modi alleged, “The Congress never wanted to announce the chief ministerial candidate in favour of the RJD. The RJD secured it by placing a katta (country-made pistol) on the head of the Congress. After the elections, the two alliance partners will be breaking each other’s heads. Such elements can never do good for Bihar.”
Further recalling the “Jungle Raj” days of the RJD and drawing a comparison with the NDA’s rule, PM Modi said, “The NDA has presented an honest and visionary manifesto for the development of Bihar. Every promise, every plan is dedicated to Bihar’s rapid development.”
He added, “On one side is the NDA’s honest manifesto, and on the other are the ‘Jungle Raj’ folks. They have turned their manifesto into a document of lies, deceit, and throwing dust in the people’s eyes.”
