Bengaluru Couple Moves to Goa for a Relaxed, Slow-Paced Lifestyle; Shares ‘Cost of Moving’

A couple from Bengaluru said that they had moved to Goa for the slow-paced lifestyle by ditching the hectic one and they called it worth the decision. Radhika and Ekansh have started a new life as they share their experience of a relaxed life and financial flexibility after a month, including the cost of moving.

Radhika claimed that she paid Rs. 15,000 to move out of their housing society in Bengaluru and keep their belongings. It cost an additional Rs. 24,000 to bring their bags to Goa. It cost them Rs. 10,000 to drive from Bengaluru to Goa, which covered the cost of PUC certification and car servicing.

They spent three weeks searching for an appropriate house after arriving in Goa. The couple spent Rs. 45,000 on temporary stays in Airbnb houses during this time. They also used Rs. 5,000 on petrol while looking for the right residence among numerous properties. The cost of groceries, food orders and dining out was Rs. 12,000.

They paid about Rs.9,500 to hire a carpenter and a plumber and to set up the air conditioner and washing machine after locating a property. According to her, people typically spend between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 45,000 for a five day vacation to Goa, but their total expenses were about Rs. 75,000, which they called worth it when comparing this to their moving expenses.
