An elderly auto driver in Bengaluru has shared his story and moved millions of people on the internet. He lost his wife around eight years ago. But the love and memory of her feels the same to him. It’s a common routine for him, like others, but he does one thing daily without fail, which makes his daily life ever more memorable and happy. He begins his day by buying fresh flowers and placing them near his wife’s photographs inside his auto, even before taking up his first passenger.
The video was shared on Instagram by content creator Asish Matthew. He observes the old driver carefully arranging flowers inside his auto. His auto stands at a traffic signal in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. He then approaches and asks him about the flowers out of curiosity. The driver indicates to a framed picture within the car and explains that it is his wife.
According to Matthew, his son had urged him to quit the job and stay at home. Nevertheless, the elderly man continues to work because he thinks that staying active and getting to know new people helps him deal with his sorrow.
