The monsoon is arriving soon this year, as per the reports. On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that conditions are becoming favorable for the southwest monsoon to move into portions of the southern Bay of Bengal, the Andaman Sea and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the end of this week.

The monsoon season, which lasts for four months until September, usually begins in Kerala on June 1.The IMD had predicted earlier that the nation would have less rain than average this year.

The weather bureau linked the potential to the evolving El Nino conditions, which are known to cause reduced monsoon precipitation in India. The IMD issued a recent weather advisory, cautioning that extreme heatwave conditions are expected to persist in certain areas of West Rajasthan for the next six to seven days.

Over the next few days, portions of East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra are also expected to experience heatwave conditions.
