Yeh Prem Mol Liya Release Date OUT: Ayushmann Khurrana, Sharvari’s Family Entertainer to be Helmed by Sooraj R Barjatya

Sooraj R Barjatya unites with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, announcing his next film titled Yeh Prem Mol Liya. It seems that Ayushmann Khurrana has taken over the mantle of Prem alongside Sharvari as the female lead for the upcoming romantic drama. Schedules to hit the theatrical screens on November 27, 2026, the film marks the return of Rajshri’s iconic character Prem and reunites Barjatya with music composer Himesh Reshammiya.

Expectations of fans and movie buffs have skyrocketed after the makers announced Sooraj R Barjatya’s next directorial. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Ayushmann Khurrana shared, “It was a part of my bucket list to work with sir. He’s a very noble man. I touch his feet whenever I meet him. He gives that kind of a vibe, and I want to give that energy back to him as a student of cinema. The best part is that he’s a master of cinema, but he still believes that he’s a student, which is really beautiful. He’s away from this circus around us. The makers took to their official social media handles to announce the release date of Yeh Prem Mol Liya. The statement read, “We Have An Announcement!! This November, Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd., in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, brings to the BIG screen a family entertainer directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya titled ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. A Himesh Reshammiya musical. In theatres 27th November 2026 – Save the date!” With Yeh Prem Mol Liya, Rajshri’s much-loved character Prem returns to the silver screen after 12 years. 

The family entertainer is all set for its grand cinematic arrival a week before Ajay Devgn, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Sanjay Dutt’s action entertainer Ranger, which is scheduled for December 4, 2026, release.

For the unversed, Sooraj Barjatya made his directorial debut with Maine Pyar Kiya, starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. The 1989 film started Salman Khan’s journey as Prem. The director duo brought in a series of blockbusters featuring Khan as Prem in 1994’s Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and 1999’s Hum Saath Saath Hain. Cut to 2003 movies, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan starred as new Prem. In 2006, the filmmaker directed the blockbuster Vivah starring Shahid Kapoor as Prem, while in 2008, he wrote and produced Ek Vivaah… Aisa Bhi starring Sonu Sood as Prem. After 16 years, in 2015, Soorja Barjatya reunited with Salman Khan as Prem in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. After a decade, Sooraj R Barjatya has announced his next film, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, with Ayushmann Khurrana.
