Yami Gautam Dhar to Headline Nayyi Navelli, Fantasy Family Drama to Hit Theatres in October

Starring Yami Gautam Dhar, “Nayyi Navelli” set to release in cinemas nationwide on Oct. 16, 2026. The fantasy family-entertainer is directed by Balaji Mohan and bankrolled by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma. Today, Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow took to their official social media handles to share the release date of the drama. 

“Nayyi Navelli” is a perfect festive offering that promises to bring audiences together for a fun-filled theatrical experience. It takes audiences into a world where the extraordinary collides with family chaos, unleashing unexpected twists and plenty of laughs.

Yami Gautam Dhar’s “Nayyi Navelli” follows the saga of a picture-perfect bride who transforms a chaotic Meerut household into paradise, only for her brother-in-law to suspect that his seemingly ideal sister-in-law may actually be a daayan (witch). With comedy, chaos, and a larger-than-life festive celebration, the film promises to be an entertaining big-screen experience.

Talking about the film and its release date, Nikhil Madhok, director and head of SVOD Originals, Prime Video India and Amazon MGM Studios stated, “As we saw Nayyi Navelli finally come together, there was an instant, collective realization that this is THE Dussehra film. No other date would do it justice.” He believes that Yami Gautam Dhar is brilliant and the talented ensemble cast has done a great job. Moreover, the film marks his first collaboration with Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma. Undoubtedly, “Nayyi Navelli” will be the first choice of entertainment for family audiences this Dussehra.
