Vadh 2 Box Office Collection: Neena Gupta & Sanjay Mishra’s Crime Thriller Beats 2022’s Vadh Day 1 Earnings

Vadh was released in theatres in 2022. At that time, it didn’t perform as expected at the box office. However, after its OTT release on Netflix, the film captivated netizens with its gripping narrative, becoming the most-loved film. Nearly four years later, its sequel, Vadh 2, starring Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles, hit the theatres on February 6, 2026. 

On day 1, Vadh 2, the crime thriller, minted Rs 0.50 crore across 1,139 theatres nationwide. Surprisingly, the sequel outshone Vadh‘s opening day earnings, which raked in only Rs 0.10 crore.

Vadh 2 Box Office Collection Day 1

The day 1 box office collection estimates for Vadh 2 indicate that the sequel has opened better than its predecessor. Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta reprise their roles as Shambhunath and Manju. Alongside the lead actors, Amit K Singh, Kumud Mishra, Akshay Dogra, Shilpa Shukla, and Yogita Bihani play key roles. The trailer also emphasized the plot’s intrigue and complexity. As the film approaches the weekend, it is expected to perform way more better. 

With Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 and Sunny Deol’s Border 2 at the box office, Vadh 2 is indeed striving hard to compete against the high-profile films. In the first part, Shambhunath and Manju are middle-aged spouses affected by the selfishness of their only son. In this second installment, Shambhunath works in Shivpuri prison, while Manju is an inmate, serving life imprisonment for a double murder.
