Udta Teer Starring Ayushmann Khurrana And Sara Ali Khan Locks New Release Date, To Premiere in October

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles, the makers of “Udta Teer” have locked a new release date. Originally scheduled to hit the theatres on Sept. 11, 2026, it will now release in cinemas on Oct.9. Penned and directed by Akash A Kaushik, the film promises to be a light-hearted entertainer. 

Since the announcement, the film has sparked a buzz online as it marks the second collaboration of Sara and Ayushmann after “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do.”

On Aug. 11, film critic Taran Adarsh took to his social media timelines to share the postponement of “Udta Teer.” With its release on Oct 9, the comedy drama will arrive in theatres just a week after Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam 3,” giving the comedy a relatively clear release window as it heads into the festive season. Earlier, the film was locking horns with other releases including “Ranabaali,” “Don’t Trouble the Trouble,” “Singh Vs Kaur 2,” and “Haiwaan.”

Bankrolled by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain, the film also marks the debut of director Akash A Kaushik. Though the makers have kept the details surrounding the plot under wraps, fans are guessing it to be another blockbuster starring Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan.
