Unveiling the motion poster, the second installment of the horror fantasy returns for bigger and darker. The good news was shared with glimpses of a traditional muhurat ceremony, featuring producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada and others. Nonetheless, fans and movie fanatics can look forward to a fresh chapter as the team sets out to continue Tumbbad‘s mysterious story.

On April 7, Sohum Shah took to X to announce the beginning of the second installment. He wrote, “Every saint has a past. Every sinner has a future. The legacy of sin returns, the cycle of greed continues… Welcome to the world of TUMBBAD, once again!” Directed by Adesh Prasad, Tumbbad 2 is expected to be larger-than-life. According to reports, a large set is being built in Mumbai, hinting at an even larger scale for this sequel. Currently, the shoot is in the film phase, shot on a sprawling 7–8-acre set designed to resemble an entire city. Alongside Sohum Shah as the lead, the horror-fantasy drama also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a key role. Earlier, the actor shared his excitement about exploring this unique world.
After Tumbbad’s 2024 re-release, the buzz around the film has been regenerated. As a result, the expectations for its sequel are sky-high among fans and newcomers alike. Rahi Anil Barve, with Anand Gandhi as creative director, directed the first part, whereas the second part is being helmed by Adesh Prasad.
