Starring Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, and others in key roles, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” is all geared up to hit the theatres on Aug. 26. Helmed by Geetu Mohandas, the action-thriller centres on a father-son rivalry. In addition to Kannada and English versions, the film will also be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.

2. The Whisper Man

The crime thriller film “The Whisper Man” will be released globally on Netflix on Aug. 28. Featuring Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, Adam Scott, and Michael Keaton in the key roles, it is the crime thriller is based on the book by Alex North. When his eight-year-old son is abducted, a widowed crime writer looks to his estranged father, a convicted serial killer known as “The Whisper Man.”

3. Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 

Starring Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Parvin Dabas, and Tara Sharma, the dark comedy will be arriving in cinema halls on Aug. 28. It is all set to bring back the warmth, wit, and wonderfully chaotic world of the Khosla family. This time, it is packed with middle-class jugaad, family madness, and everyday absurdities.

4. Chumbak

Featuring Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, and more, “Chumbak” will stream on Netflix from Aug. 28. The comedy series explores the chaotic and heartwarming lives of five families living side-by-side in a close-knit urban neighborhood. 

5. Babita Singh Reporting

Headlined by Nimisha Sajayan, Barun Sobti, and Anshumaan Pushkar, “Babita Singh Reporting” is set to begin streaming on Prime Video from Aug. 28. An underestimated cop visiting her in-laws for the first time finds herself torn between uncovering the truth in a murder investigation and the hidden lies in her own marriage, forming the plot of the series.

6. Bandar

Starring Bobby Deol, Sanya Malhotra, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, and others, “Bandar” follows the saga of Samar Mehra, a 50-year-old former television and pop star, struggling with a fading career. After its theatrical run, the film is all geared up for its digital debut on Zee5 on Aug. 28, 2026.
