Toxic Box Office Collection Day 5: Yash Starrer Enters Rs 200 Cr Club Worldwide Despite the Weekend Dip
For months, fans and cinephiles were waiting for Yash-starrer “Toxic” to hit the theatres. Right on the first day, on Aug 26, the gangster actioner opened with Rs 101.10 crore by running across 24,579 screens with 56.1 percent occupancy. The film opened to mixed reactions from fans and critics, with many praising Yash’s commanding performance and disliking the script. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s gross collections stand at Rs 257.80 crore on day 6.

On Day 2, Toxic added Rs 37.65 crore to its collection by running across 22,629 shows with an occupancy of 26.6 percent. Kicking off its weekend leg, on Friday, the film earned Rs 27.20 crore through 19,390 shows, registering 25.5 percent occupancy. On its first Saturday, it saw a decline in its collection with just Rs 25.15 crore. Whereas on Sunday, it added just Rs 23 crore, bringing its total net collection to Rs 215.67 crore in India.
As of Day 6 at 1.30 PM IST, the first Monday, it has collected a net of Rs 1.57 crore by running 5,737 shows. Toxic is now reportedly Rs 15 crore away from crossing the Rs 300 crore mark at the global box office collection.
Besides Yash, the film also boasts a stellar cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and others.
