Bollywood actress Adah Sharma is hitting new milestones as she preps herself for a grand Marathi film debut. Sharing the announcement with her fans on social media, Sharma wrote, “GAJRA – my debut in Marathi… need all your love and blessings.” The first look poster featured a close-up image of her in a bridal avatar, wearing the kunku on her forehead and the traditional nath. Her face is smeared with blood streaks and splatters, while her intense expression suggests violence and trauma, with a dark and intense narrative.

The film is inspired by the events surrounding the 1990 Indian economic crisis, featuring the institutional framework between the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Government of India (GoI). Talking about the film, director Shreyas Jadhav shared, “When Amol Borkar ji brought the original concept of the film ‘Gajra’ and the true story behind it to me, I realized that this film would not only entertain but also touch the hearts of the audience. It will be a very intense, sensitive and heart-wrenching story. That’s all I can say for now.”

Renowned for her performances in the Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Commando franchise and the blockbuster The Kerala Story, Adah Sharma’s Marathi debut has skyrocketed everyone’s expectations.
