Headlined by Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, The India Story: The Slow Poison hit the theatrical screens on July 24. The film garnered positive reactions from early viewers, with many praising the film’s storytelling format, theme, narrative, and the lead actors’ performances. However, the courtroom drama witnessed a low turnout on its opening day at the box office. It grossed Rs 18 lakhs. Take a closer look at its box office collection on the first day.

Directed by Chettan DK, The India Story: The Slow Poison explores the theme of the use of pesticides in farming and how it affects health. Alongside the lead actors, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Murali Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Trisha Sarda, Atul Tiwari, Kamlesh Sawant and Sham Mashalkar in key roles. 

On the first day, it minted Rs 16 lakhs net. Talking about the worldwide collection, the drama raked in Rs 18 lakhs. Bankrolled by Sagar B. Shinde, it is presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios. 

Not to forget, India Story has locked horns at the box office with several other releases, including Raftaar, Uttar Da Puttar, Max, Min and Meowzaki, Tera Yaar Hoon Main, and other South films like Karavali and Chennai Love Story. According to industry estimates, the Shreyas Talpade-starrer may earn Rs 1 crore over the first weekend.
