The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 Returns on Netflix Amid Festive Celebrations With a Whole Lot More Laughter

The Great Indian Kapil Show returns to Netflix with Season 5 starting on Sept. 26, 2026. The upcoming chapter. Today, the OTT giant announced the Tyo-haha-har of festive cheer. After successfully turning Shanivaar (Saturday) into Funnyvaar, adding to its growing audience Parivaar (family), and building out a comedy mastiverse, the show returns to celebrate Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har (Festival of Laughter) with fans and global audiences. This time, the theme is to celebrate India, in all its quirks, shades, and glorious madness.

Starting from Sept. 26, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 5 will stream every Saturday at 8 PM, only on Netflix. Kapil Sharma leads the brigade, along with his much-loved gang including Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Navjot Singh Sidhu. The team brings their signature chaos with bigger, crazier, and more delightfully unpredictable punches.

Whether it is celebrity guests and newsmakers or personalities, the guests will blend multiple facets, characters, and colours that make India and celebrate them all wholeheartedly. Packed with conversations, hilarious sketches, unexpected banter, playful roasting, and wonderfully chaotic moments, the new season will feel more like guests walking into a family function rather than an interview. 

Talking about returning for another season, comedian Kapil Sharma shared that every season, they think we have done enough fun, and then they realise that they are not done yet. That’s what keeps them going. He further added, “We are extremely grateful for the love our audience, world over, has given The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix and this time around we will be celebrating the upcoming festivities wholeheartedly… be it Diwali or Christmas. Bas lifafe Archana ji se duur rakhiye, baki hum Hasi ka Tyohaar to le kar aa hi rahe hain! (Just keep the gifts and envelopes away from Archana ji, we are coming soon with the festival of laughter).”
