On Monday, June 1, 2026, the makers of The End of Oak Street dropped a spine-chilling trailer. Featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor in the lead roles, the sci-fi survival thriller centres around the lead’s encounter with dinosaurs. Written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, the film is produced by J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, David Robert Mitchell, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper. 

Slated to hit the theatres on August 14, in North America and internationally on 12 August 2026, the film has left the audience intrigued with its captivating narrative. Take a closer look.

The End of Oak Street trailer is set to Billy Joel’s “My Life.” It shows a suburban couple, and their two children, played by Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, who discover their street has mysteriously moved to a place teeming with living dinosaurs. The Platt family soon discovers that their survival depends on them sticking together while navigating the unrecognizable surroundings. The dinosaurs in the seemingly normal suburban enclave appear to have suddenly been displaced into a different time and place. 

The trailer is packed with dinosaurs, the family’s struggle to navigate through the noir setting,  and the splashy yet scary moments. But what is the meaning behind all of it? To find out, you need to mark your calendars for August 12 and 14.
