Tera Yaar Hoon Main Box Office Collection Day 1: Aman Indra Kumar, Akanksha Sharma’s Rom-Com Opens Low With Rs 18 Lacs

Aman Indra Kumar, Akanksha Sharma’s Tera Yaar Hoon Main has hit the theatres on July 24. Since its announcement, the film generated significant buzz online. However, the romantic comedy opened with a lukewarm response at the box office. It raked in Rs 18 lakhs gross on the first day of its release. The film is facing tough competition at the ticket window along with other releases, including Karavali, Raftaar, The India Story, and Uttar Da Puttar. 

Many reviewers called Tera Yaar Hoon Main a predictable film, while a few appreciated the on-screen performances of the leads.

Tera Yaar Hoon Main collected a net of Rs 16 lakhs by running across 799 shows on the day of its anticipated release. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Aman Indra Kumar, son of veteran filmmaker Indra Kumar, alongside Akanksha Sharma in a lead role. According to reports, the film was built on an estimated budget of around Rs 30 crore. Hence, the movie will need a substantial jump over the weekend to recover its costs.

Helmed by Milap Milan Zaveri, the film is an old-school family entertainer where friendship, love, and sacrifice blend together in one emotional story. Alongside the leads, the film also features Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Darshan Jariwala, and Johnny Lever in key roles.

The film chronicles the journey of a young man, Sanju, who strikes an unusual friendship with Vishwanath, a close friend of his late mother. As he falls in love with Vishwanath’s daughter, Anu, family loyalties and an arranged marriage stand in the way of their romance.
