Suriya’s Vishwanath & Sons Locks Release Date, To Hit Theatres in August

After months of anticipation, the makers of Vishwanath & Sons finally unveiled its released date. Starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, the film is all set to hit cinema halls on August 14, 2026. Helmed by Venky Atluri, the film promises to offer an emotional storyline with a dash of romance and humour. Not just that, it also emphasizes strong family values.  

On May 28, its production house, Sithara Entertainments, took to its social media timelines to share the news. The caption read, “Dear Anbaana Fans, here’s our little note to keep the celebrations going. Make way for #VishwanathAndSons. Arriving to conquer cinemas worldwide on AUGUST 14th, 2026 #VASonAUG14th.”

No sooner was the release date unveiled than fans and movie buffs flooded the comment section expressing their happiness. The teaser introduces Sanjay Vishwanath, a character portrayed by Suriya, an international pistol shooter who continues to chase his dreams even in his 40s. He showcases both fatherly warmth and emotional depth with an easy flair. In addition, the narrative centres on his complex relationship with Maddy, a vibrant woman 20 years younger than him, who falls in love with him, leading to emotional conflict.

Previously, the makers had confirmed that Vishwanath & Sons would hit the cinema halls two months after Karuppu’s theatrical debut, making it an Indian Independence Week release. Now, fans and movie buffs await more updates from the cast and crew.
