Anil Kapoor is all geared up to essay the role of an ex-army officer with much grit and ferocity. The revenge drama is set in the heartland of India, where illegal sand mining has bred fear. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the OTT film is an action-packed battle against corruption and fear. 

Anil Kapoor essays the role of Arjun Maurya, who is compelled to work as a chauffeur for a major local crime figure, Prince Bhaiyya. Here’s what to expect from the gripping drama.

The recent trailer of Subedaar introduces actor Anil Kapoor in one of the most intense roles. He portrays the role of a retired army officer who is forced back into battle, but not on the border, but against a brutal criminal network that runs an illegal sand mining operation. The Prime Video film is a perfect combination of action and emotional drama, positioning Kapoor as an ex-army officer who refuses to tolerate humiliation. 

The trailer establishes a hostile environment where local strongmen control riverbanks, resources, and public fear. After being publicly disrespected, Kapoor delivers a powerful statement, “I can take a bullet, but not disrespect.” As the preview unfolds, he transforms from subdued civilian to relentless fighter. On the other hand, Mona Singh is seen playing the role of the primary antagonist, a ruthless figure who commands the sand-mafia empire. The trailer also sheds light on Maurya’s strained relationship with his daughter, played by Radhikka Madan. Their dynamic relationship establishes themes of generational conflict, trauma, and redemption.
