Leaving the candy floss world of “Student of the Year,” Shanaya Kapoor will lead its darker version. Helmed by filmmaker Reema Maya, the franchise returns after six years with “Student Of The Year 2,” featuring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya Panday. It now dives straight into the glamorous college life packed with murder, mystery, and dangerous rivalries.

The survival thriller chronicles the journey of Aayesha Malik, played by Shanaya Kapoor, the school’s queen bee, whose death leaves her twin sister Aditi, also played by Shanaya Kapoor, searching for answers. Skeptical that her sister’s sad demise was an accident, Aditi decides to take the matter into her own hands and investigate the case. She then enters St. Teresa’s undercover and participates in the fiercely contested Student of the Year competition. As she gets closer to the truth, Aditi discovers that Aayesha’s closest friend was her strongest rival. Looking at the trailer, audiences say that the web series looks like a blend of “Squid Game” and “13 Reasons Why.”

As she navigates through the school’s cutthroat competition, Aditi strives hard to rise through the ranks, survive the competition, and win to uncover the truth behind her twin sister’s death. Bankrolled by Dharmatic Entertainment, “Student Of The Year: After Dark” also features Abhinav Singh, Divik Sharma, Manya Grover, Deeya Damani, Adi Malik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Vivek Gomber in key roles.
