Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 Release Date, Episode Titles, And Runtimes Revealed

The buzz around Stranger Things never seems to stop. Over the years, the most popular Netflix series has brought a storm worldwide, and this year, the horror television series will be streaming its finale. The first part, titled Volume 1, premiered on Nov. 26, 2025. The Stranger Things 5 Volume 2, comprising four episodes, will be step-by-step. Three episodes in the pipeline will stream on the joyous occasion of Christmas, i.e., Dec. 25, while the finale episode will meet fans next year, on Jan. 1, 2026.

The co-creator Ross Duffer took to Instagram to reveal the episode titles and their respective runtime of the remaining episodes of Volume 2. Episodes 5 to 8 will ride fans through the end of the decade-long Netflix series. The final episodes are nearly three and a half hours long, feeling like feature films. Moreover, every episode is going to have a promising, intense, and emotional end. Below are the details:

Episode 5: Shock Jock

Run Time: 1h 8m

According to the outline shared by Duffer, episode 5 will kick off moments after the end of Sorcerer. The episode ‘Shock Jock’ is directed by Frank Darabont. It is darker and scarier than Darabont’s previous episode, Turnbow Trap. 

Episode 6: Escape from Camazotz

Run Time: 1h 15m

Directed by Shawn Levy, ‘Escape from Camazotz’ is the biggest episode of the three. Duffer stated that the performances in the sixth episode make everyone sob. Additionally, fans can expect a character death. Based on the title, the episode will revolve around Holly and Max’s attempt to break free from the mind prison created by Vecna.

Episode 7: The Bridge

Run Time: 1h 6m

Directed by Levy and Duffer Brothers, ‘The Bridge’ is probably the most emotional chapter of the season, where one can expect a few more character deaths. 

Episode 8: The Rightside Up

Run Time: 2h 8m

Last but not least, the finale episode is set to stream on Jan. 1, 2026, and will mark the end of the most-loved Netflix series. Talking about the last episode, Duffer said, “This is something my brother and I have dreamed about for years. If you don’t mind crying in front of strangers, GO. And if you’re in LA… maybe we’ll see you there.” 

All in all, Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 will premiere on Netflix on December 25 in the US, with episodes dropping at 8 pm ET and 5 pm PT. For Indian viewers, the wait ends early the next morning, i.e., December 26 at 6:30 am, making it a perfect post-Christmas binge. The grand finale will screen in around 500 cinemas across the US starting December 31 and continuing into January 1, 2026.
