Shrimad Bhagavatam Part I Post OUT: First Chapter of the Seven-Part Theatrical Saga to Premiere in 2027

Based on the Bhagavatam Mahapurana, “Shrimad Bhagavatam Part I” is all set to arrive in cinema halls next year. Today, the makers dropped an intriguing first-look poster of the film, announcing 2027 as its global release year. It is the first chapter of the seven-part theatrical saga, which translates to “the one always protected by Vishnu.” The name is traditionally associated with King Parikshit in the “Bhagavata Mahapurana.” 

The title establishes the spiritual foundation of the franchise, which chronicles the saga of Lord Shri Krishna. Moreover, the poster offers a closer glimpse of the expansive spiritual universe built around devotion, dharma, and the bond between humanity and the divine. Take a closer look!

Sagar Pictures Entertainment shared an invigorating poster of the epic live-action film. It features the hand of Shri Krishna in blessing and is pious, evocative, and steeped in tradition, setting the tone for the first chapter of the seven-part theatrical drama. The cpation of the poster read, “ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय The #ShrimadBhagavatam saga begins. Sagar Pictures Entertainment presents the teaser poster for the first part of the Shrimad Bhagavatam Film Series titled ‘Vishnurata.’ Vishnurata — which means “the one protected by Lord Vishnu” — is an epic live-action motion picture and the first chapter of a seven-part cinematic telling of the Shrimad Bhagavatam. Talking about the film, directors Akash Sagar Chopra and Amrit Sagar Chopra shared that for millions of Indians, these stories exist not only as spiritual knowledge, but as part of our civilizational memory. “Our grandfather brought the ‘Ramayana’ to the screen, and it became a defining medium through which a generation experienced the epic. But we cannot recreate what he did, nor would we try. Every generation must discover its own cinematic language, shaped by the medium and possibilities of its time,” they further added. All in all, the audience is incredibly excited to witness the grandeur of Lord Vishnu on the silver screen.
