Actor Nana Patekar is all set for his grand OTT debut with Prakash Jha’s socio-political thriller
Sankalp. Slated to stream from March 11, 2026, on Amazon MX, the series draws inspiration from the ancient Chanakya–Chandragupta chronicles. Alongside Nana Patekar, the web series boasts a stellar starcast, including Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Neeraj Kabi, Kubrra Sait, and Kranti Prakash Jha in pivotal roles.
On Thursday, March 6, the makers unveiled the trailer of the much-anticipated series. The trailer offers a striking glimpse into a world shaped by three forces, namely Sanskaar, Satta, and Samarpan. Here’s a closer look at what the series has in store.
Nana Patekar’s Sankalp rides us through the mechanics of power, revenge, ideological war, protege, politics, corruption, and bureaucracy in modern India. The veteran actor essays the role of Ma’at saab. Speaking about his OTT debut, he shared, “Playing Ma’at saab has been a huge learning and it led me to explore a new dimension. It’s a character layered with silence, conflict and consequences.”
Set against an intense political backdrop, the narrative follows the story of Ma’at Saab, an influential educator whose authority rests on values, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. As the trailer unfolds steadily, the confrontation between the mentor and mentee begins. The moral price of ambition is exposed, and the thin line between guidance and establishing dominance appears to the surface.
Bankrolled by Jyoti Deshpande, Jio Studios, and Dishaa Jhaa under the banner of PJP films Productions, Sankalp is set to premiere on March 11, exclusively on Amazon MX Player.
