On Thursday, March 26, the makers of the political thriller took to their official social media handles to unveil the first look and release date of the much anticipated film.
Aakhri Sawal is expected to explore the themes of communism and fringe elements in the political sphere. Penned by Utkarsh Naithani and jointly bankrolled by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt, the film also boasts a stellar ensemble, including Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Tridha Choudhary, and Neetu Chandra in key roles. Helmed by Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the political thriller will arrive in theatres on May 15 this year. Just like March, the month of May will see other big releases like Sunny Deol’s Gabru and Bobby Deol’s Bandar. It will be intriguing to witness the much-awaited films locking horns at the box office.
The makers revealed the first look of the film, which carries the tagline, ‘the question India never stopped asking.’ Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt is stealing the spotlight in Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, which is showing no signals to slow down the buzz. As of March 25, the spy thriller has raked in Rs 1025 crore gross at the box office. The film also surpassed the lifetime collections of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (2023) and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015).
