Kamal Haasan to Lead Sandiyar

After teasing fans and the audience for a day or two, Kamal Haasan finally revealed the title of his film, “Sandiyar,” along with a gripping poster. Featuring Kamal Haasan in a rugged and intense avatar, with a sickle, he is holding a gun in his hand. Though the details about the storyline, theme, and the rest of the cast are under wraps, the announcement itself has sparked excitement online. Helmed by SU Arun Kumar, the film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.

Taking to its social media timelines, the production house confirmed the commencement of the film’s shoot by writing, “6 ROUNDS, ZERO MERCY. Revenge does give satisfaction, but… Happy Birthday to our, SANDIYAR! SHOOT BEGINS TODAY. #KamalHaasan #SUArunkumar.” Notably, the title “Sandiyar” is reminiscent of the name Kamal Haasan originally chose for his 2004 film “Virumaandi.” Derived from a Tamil word, Sandiyar loosely translates to a rogue, troublesome person. The audience now awaits the makers to unveil the release date of the film.
