Salman Khan’s most-celebrated cult classic romantic drama Tere Naam has once again hit the theatres on February 27, 2026. Initially released in 2003, the film has a different fan base altogether. Directed by the late Satish Kaushik, the tragic action love story opened with Rs. 25 lakh nett at the Indian box office.

Despite the buzz around the film, the romance drama has observed a slow start. However, considering the weekend, it might perform well at the box office. Secondly, Tere Naam arrived in cinemas in the month of Ramadan, a low-key period for films. Roll your eyes over to know how the film may perform over the coming days.

Tere Naam Re-Release Box Office Collection Day 1

Salman Khan’s Tere Naam has been re-released in cinemas in selected cities in PVR Inox cinemas only. It was released on August 15, 2023. Alongside Salman, the film also stars Bhumika Chawla in the lead role. The drama has received a limited release, as the actor didn’t post anything about its re-release. However, the film minted Rs 25 lakhs on the opening day.

On the other hand, Salman Khan’s highest-grossing re-release in India is the 1995 fantasy-action drama Karan Arjun, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film earned 1.3 crore during its re-run. Now, all eyes are on Tere Naam’s performance. One must note that the romance drama doesn’t have any significant competition until Eid 2026 releases, including Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups. Considering the craze of the fans in theatres, one expects that Tere Naam’s collection may show a jump at the box office on the coming Saturday and Sunday.
