The Battle of Galwan is based on the Indo-Chinese War. The narrative follows the story of Indian and Chinese troops at the Galwan region on June 15, 2020. Around 200 Indian soldiers bravely defended their territory against a force of 1200 Chinese Liberation Army soldiers. Being the most-talked-about film, fans and movie fanatics are eagle-eyed to witness history on the big screen.
The war drama has reportedly shifted its release date from April to August 14, 2026. According to a close source, “Salman Khan and the makers are of the opinion that it would be a better date since India’s Independence Day falls on August 15. The patriotic sentiment will be at an all-time high, and Battle of Galwan would be an ideal flick to watch in this period.”
The filmmakers have not yet officially announced the release date. Reports indicate that the shooting is still ongoing. Additionally, there are rumors that certain scenes are being reshot, which may lead to delays. By the end of February, they will wrap the shoot and kickstart post-production editing and approvals. Official announcements are awaited. If the rumors turn out to be true, then the Battle of Galwan might clash at the box office with Kartik Aaryan’s Naagzilla, setting up an unexpected Independence Day face-off.
