Rowdy Janardhana: Vijay Deverakonda’s Blood-Soaked Comeback Leaves Fans Stunned!

Vijay Deverakonda is clearly buckled up to set ablaze with his comeback film, Rowdy Janardhana. On December 22, 2025, the actor unveiled his first look, alongside the big title reveal. Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, the actor looks unrecognisable in a ferocious new avatar. The intense and gritty film, also starring Keerthy Suresh as co-lead, is scheduled for release in December 2026. Rowdy Janardhana’s title largely puts Vijay Deverakonda in focus. His first look appears to be extremely aggressive. Soaked in blood, the protagonist narrates a spine-chilling tale. Moreover, the coastal Andhra backdrop follows the narrative dominated by violence, strong language, and complete menace. The visuals, tone, aggression, dialogue deliveries, and rhythm of the overall film are undoubtedly raw and unapologetic. 

The 2-minute-and-7-second title glimpse was unveiled in four languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The video kicks off with an intense voice-over by Vijay Deverakonda. While carrying out his action sequences, he tells the tale of a vicious demon, revealing how he unleashes the demon that resides within him. Portraying the role of Janardhana, he adopts a Telugu accent from the East Godavari region. Through the glimpse, he knocks out his rivals and claims that people in his region may call themselves “Rowdy”. However, he is the only one who has earned it as his true identity, making him ‘Rowdy Janardhana.’

Talking about his first look, the 36-year-old actor rocks long hair and a twirling, bushy moustache. His drastic transformation turns heads, whereas fans can’t take their eyes off his chiselled physique. Sporting a lungi while fighting and slashing his rivals in a violent spree, it is evident that the film follows a rooted and rustic world theme. Undoubtedly, Rowdy Janardhana has all the ingredients of a blockbuster comeback for Vijay Deverakonda. 

Dil Raju will be bankrolling the project, whereas the makers have unveiled multiple title glimpses in different languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Interestingly, Vijay has dubbed for all the versions to maintain the authenticity and feel of the film.
