Directed by Sooriyaprathap, the sci-fi crime thriller also features Gautham Ram Karthik, Narain, Bhavya Trikha, and Y. Gee. Mahendra, Pavni Reddy, Linga, RJ Anandhi, and more. The makers are yet to unroll the teaser and reveal the release date.

Aparshakti Khurana’s Root First Look

Murugadoss took to social media and unveiled the first look of Aparshakti Khurana. The actor is spotted wearing a shawl over a white kurta and round spectacles. The caption of the post read, “Happy to reveal the second look from the world of #ROOT – This is where it begins.”

The first-look poster of the film was released earlier by superstar Rajinikanth, which featured Gautham. This time, in the second poster, the Stree actor portrays a character that is deeply rooted in mystery, menace, and raw instinct. He essays the role of not just a man but of a myth that refused to pass away. He is born from shadows and driven by instinct. Moreover, his silence speaks louder than words.

Reportedly, the movie is filmed extensively across Chennai and multiple locations. The shoot has been completed and is currently in the post-production phase. Sooriyaprathap, who was an associate director on Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan, has written the script. Alongside Aparshakti Khurana, Root also features Bhavya Trikha as the female lead. The rest of the cast includes Y Gee Mahendran, RJ Anandhi, and Pavni Reddy.
