The director took to his official social media handle to share a special video. The video confirmed that the cast and crew have begun shooting for the most-anticipated comedy drama, Golmaal 5. Not just that, Akshay Kumar too has joined the stellar star cast, including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sharman Joshi.

On the special occasion of his 52nd birthday, filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared a fun glimpse of Golmaal 5, marking the beginning of the shoot. The caption read, “20 years ago, the first ‘Golmaal’ was released, a film that changed my life. The credit goes to you, my audience. Over the past 20 years, we have entertained you, and yes, sometimes disappointed you, but we have always been honest in our work. So now, once again, my fabulous team and I are set on a journey to entertain you as we start filming G5. You have always loved and supported me.”
The video features Rohit and his crew sharing banter with lead stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, and Tusshar Kapoor, taking a dig at Sharman Joshi’s comeback. As the video unfolds, Ajay Devgn announces a big and unexpected surprise. Akshay makes a grand entrance to the film set, in an all-new bald look and in black pyjamas. Akshay Kumar’s special appearance piqued the audience’s curiosity.
For the unversed, Golmaal is one of the most successful Hindi comedy franchises, offering a non-stop laughter riot.
